from the field to the community
The Happ Foundation, founded by Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ and his wife, Julie, is dedicated to empowering children to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
We provide vital support that helps kids build confidence, access opportunity, and create a path toward a brighter, more secure future. Ian and Julie believe every child deserves the chance to succeed, and they are deeply committed to ensuring young people have the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who takes the time to learn about our mission and stand behind our work. Your generosity and belief in what we do make it possible to create meaningful change in the lives of children and families who need it most. Because of supporters like you, we are not just meeting immediate needs—we are helping shape stronger, healthier futures for the next generation.
our impact
HOSPITAL VISITS
Hospital Visits bring joy and comfort to children through special visits that create moments of happiness during difficult times. These visits include bringing a custom bear-making machine that allows kids to design and build their own stuffed animals, as well as meaningful bedside visits to connect one-on-one with patients. By meeting children where they are, the Foundation helps brighten hospital stays and reminds kids and families that they are not alone.
Baseball clinics
Ian Happ hosts baseball clinics that open the game he loves to underserved youth, including children who have experienced a trauma. These clinics create a safe, welcoming space where kids can learn skills, build confidence, and feel a sense of belonging through baseball. By sharing his time and passion, Ian uses the game as a powerful tool for healing, hope, and opportunity.
Baseball games
The Happ Foundation hosts unforgettable days at Wrigley Field, giving kids the chance to step inside a Major League ballpark and feel truly special. Children get to meet Ian Happ, ask questions, watch batting practice up close, and experience the excitement behind the scenes. They then stay for the game and receive a food voucher for dinner, making it a full night of joy, connection, and lasting memories.
